49miles (Castellar, La Linea and back ) average speed 11 mph Top speed 31 mph
Up early and had brekkie of pate and toast, then rode out to Castellar

and all the way back down to La Linea. On the way I saw a new born foal learning to walk and storks in nests on railways and a falcon in the electric lines.

In La Linea I bought steak and veg for dinner and went to a rastro. Then it started raining so I hid under a motorway bridge and put my raincoat on, but it didn’t look like moving on any time soon so I just went for it and got very wet for the next hour or so. Stopped for a drink at the Dubliner and discovered an email from home to tell me that the boiler at Cornmill had broken, so I spent some time sorting out emails and calls. Back at Mandy’s where she cooked steak and I fell asleep in front of the tv.
