Up early for another good brekkie and decided to go on the guided tour of the medina with Ali and 7 others. He was really good as a guide and we chatted a lot about cultural differences and religion while he took us around the tannery and an Aloe Vera silk weavers and an argan oil shop.

Up close and personal
It was a good tour and worth the 60 dirham for four hours. Then I had lunch of beef sarnie and chips at a cafe round the corner from the hostel. When I asked for ketchup and he didn’t have any he came back with hot haricot beans and carrot salad as a gift. Then I ventured out on the bike in the crazy traffic and found the westernised new town with McDonald’s and all sorts. I went to Carrefour and got some bits and some beer and crisps to eat watching the sunset from a castle above the city. It was great watching the lights come up over the city and the sun going down with roosting birds and bats.

I had dinner with Fabian in the medina, but that didn’t go too well with an old guy taking us to a kebab place and overcharging us. Then went to watch Chelsea beat Wet spam before another early night.
