Day 266 11th April
49 miles (Belleville to Tournus) Average speed 10.6 mph Top speed 23 mph
I slept next to a farmers field by a picnic bench last night, I was beginning to think wild camping was the only way to keep on budget but I’ve found a good campsite for only 6.50€ today. I’m staying for 2 nights so will try to get wifi and catch up. I am looking forward to a day off tomorrow as this wind is getting a bit tiresome! I am making good progress though a bit wind beaten. I am just enjoying a sunbathe before I go for dinner out tonight to celebrate 7000 miles!!

7000 miles!
The celebrations involved a burger and chips watching the moon rise with the bats and fish. Very enjoyable if a little low key but there’s not much night life on a Tuesday in France. I’m looking forward to a rest day tomorrow fixing several punctures of camping gear and washing. I love a day off!!!
