Day 445 8th October
16 miles (Cremona ) Average speed 8.3 mph Top speed 24 mph
A great day off.
I got up at 9 and had brekkie of omelette with tomatoes and cheese and tea. I did lots of washing in a good sink in the showers and had a shower, but 50c only gets you 2 minutes, which was just enough to get lathered up before having to step out and feed the meter! I left at midday and went into town to see the sights and very impressive cathedral. Then I found Lidl to buy lunch and went on to the footy ground where I bought a ticket for the south curve, which meant I was behind the goal.

668 Wok Sushi Restaurant
I had lunch in sunshine outside an all you can eat sushi restaurant and parked the bike safely. Luckily they let me take the pannier in with me, but the ticket purchase needed ID and so did entry into the stadium.

Entry to the stadium
It was a great atmosphere and the fans sang and waved flags through out the game even after going one up and conceding 3 goals just before half time. The opposing number 20 was playing a blinder and made them pay for some sloppy defending. They improved in the second half and scored with 15 minutes left to set up a dramatic finish and they managed to equalise five minutes from the end. Both teams should have scored in the last 5 minutes and it was a cracking game and crowd considering it’s serie B.

Cracking game and crowd
Afterwards I went for a ride and found myself in a shopping centre which had footy on so I treated myself to a kebab.

Kebab and a Coke
The guy behind the counter told me of his brother in London and offered me a free coke which was nice of him. Then I left before dark and found my way back to a bar near the campsite and had a beer while listening to Scotland go out again after an impressive effort. In bed by 9 and only just realised I’d clicked up 12000 miles!!
