Day 468 31st October
Ben Mansour
A day of work. I’m not used to this!
I got up at 8 after Ian Rush lookalike woke me with his prayers at 4am. I had brekkie of harsha bread with olives and oil and tea. Then I set about the task at hand which involved 12 hours grafting: painting, lifting, cleaning, sweeping, eating tagine and finally shopfitting, but I enjoyed every minute.
It was great to help out Kamal and see his hard work pay off. He had been working on this project to get the pharmacy ready for about 2 months and also building a new house for himself and his family at the same time.
