Found the only campsite and I am having an early beer as this is now officially a rest day. I do love a day off !
I saw that England scraped by against Slovakia and its whetted my appetite for more footy. Real Madrid play Ososuna on Saturday so I hope to be at that game. 100 miles straight or 230 via satnav. I’ll take my time and plan a route as I have wifi at the campsite. Spent the afternoon washing, drying (thanks sun @ 34°C) and then went to Mercadona supermarket with air con and houmus. Next door to another Chinese bazaar where I bought a highlight pen for maps and another English plug adaptor.

River Duoro

Lunch by the river Duoro
Went down to River Duoro for lunch and then climbed the steep hill back into town where I met a poet

and had a couple of beers people watching, as they were all coming back to work from their siestas.
Back at campsite for a siesta of my own and saw more eagles/ birds of prey while reading my book and then had salad meant for four people and finished off the houmus and picante chorizo.

Just watching the sunset at a picnic site with very good fresh water as all the locals are stocking up here, before I go back in to see Spain thrash Lichtenstein!

Sundown at picnic site
I can hear commentaries from tv in campsite and Spain must be one up already. Now back at campsite having enjoyed sunset and in bar watching Spain vs Liechtenstein. I do like a day off!
Spent a few hours watching football and drinking Pacheran and charging batteries and only cost €5. I have noticed though that I’m closer to a motorway than I was when wild camping, but it has cost me a tenner!
