Day 2 21.7.16
62 miles at average speed of 10 mph, top speed 39.1 mph.
Route 17 was a nightmare; pushed for 1 mile.
Campsite : Little Switzerland, Folkestone £10
Rock and chips for dinner
A good start to day 2 with a wave off from Imogen and Isaac. Next stop Folkestone.
Another great day. Another 59m, some very dodgy cycle paths, route 17 is not passable on a bike! Edgerton post office lady with geography degree drew map to Ashford, where I went to Halfords to pick up a new pannier. Fair play to Halfords, they take some stick, but today I picked up a replacement pannier from Ashford without a receipt free of charge!
Kent is quite hilly (the satnav seems to find every one) but good training for France! Now at little Switzerland campsite in Folkestone with beautiful views of the white cliffs.
Lunch was a Tesco meal deal sat in a field next to a gate with sheep, man arrived in van to go through, strange how things come together, but I closed gate for him.
Bowls couple took me to their club in Folkestone for a beer £2.70, much needed, after I asked for local pub.
Shower temperamental, cold water to wash shirt.

Brian’s tent ; the little one in the far distance

Beer, rabbits are hiding
Beers and rabbits at 9.30 time for bed said Zebedee.!
Brian the snail hibernated in bar bag all day.
Naughty last day in England overspent by £13 but had to buy bike spares for bar bag £3.30
