A nice easy day.
I got up at 8 for brekkie of ham and cheese roll, bread and jam with coffee. I left at 9.15 and it was a great start; downhill all the way to the main road. I was flying along at an average speed of 12.3 mph until the first hill. I rested at a garage with a soda and as the pace was taking its toll on my legs I decided on a short day.
There were a few long climbs but as I rolled into town and saw a lake with dozens of people fishing in the sun I knew it was time for a rest.

I checked into the hotel and showered before eating in the owners’ restaurant, where I had a buffet dinner. Then I walked to the lake and enjoyed the sun and watching the fisherman catching what looked like bass; lots of them. Then I had a siesta and went out for a burger and beer before an early night.
