Day 660 11th May 2018
37 miles (Wanda to Eldorado) Average speed 8.7 mph Top speed 33 mph
After an enormous thunderstorm which literally shook the concrete floor in the night, I awoke in the dry and have the guy that turned up last night to thank, as he warned us it was coming so that we could move our tents under cover.
I had brekkie of cheese, tomato and boiled eggs. I packed up and left at 11 when it started raining again. I paused at a bus stop to put on my raincoat and chatted to a couple of guys waiting for a bus before heading into the wind and rain.

Rain
The hard shoulder is pretty good apart from when they put rumble strips down to keep the drivers awake. The 3 strips face across the shoulder and if you hit them on a bike you definitely know about it. Thankfully I missed most of them.
A flat bed truck came past and then a car tyre flew off the back but he was about a hundred yards ahead so no danger for me this time.

I got a bit muddy!
