We got up at 9 and had brekkie of noodles and veg with coffee and a very strange hot drink with fruit in it. We talked to Teddy about the language and how to order different food and drinks.

I cleaned my bike and we left at 11.30. We went into town and left our bikes at the hotel while we had a delicious Indian lunch on the river.

Lunch – it looks too good to eat
We checked in and went for a walk around Jonker Street, found the well decorated Mods cafe for an espresso and the young boy took our money. The barista owner was much more impressive than Starbucks as he served from an orange VW camper van.

In the evening we went to the night market, I had three kebab sticks including nyanyo sausage. We had a drink back at the bar I’d been in the night before and sat in the cooling rain as the people ran around trying to keep dry. Then we watched tv before another early night.
