39 miles (Kuala Kangsar) Average speed 11.4 mph Top speed 25 mph
I passed through Sungai Siput on the way to Kuala Kangsar where there were cows among the gravestones by the Hindu temple, and then the twin peaks of the hill overlooking the town.

When I arrived in Kuala Kangsar we were greeted with a red telephone box – they get everywhere it seems!

Everywhere you go!
I looked back on yesterday’s ride from Cameron Highlands to Ipoh with mixed emotions, a fantastic ride downhill but alongside the beauty comes the sad mess that farming is having on our environment. All the plastic reminded me of the run down to Motril in southern Spain. It’s such a shame that there won’t be much left for future generations. The traffic fumes and the way people arrive at an attraction or viewpoint and leave their cars running in order to keep the air con working and some don’t even get out to explore the view! Still it was great fun flying downhill at top speed with no carbon footprint or trace that I’d even been there!
