Day 926 1st February 2019
50 miles ( Desura to Singapore) Average speed 15.1 mph Top speed 32 mph
An incredibly fast day.
I got up at 7 and showered, had coffee and croissants for breakfast and then hit the Road at lightning pace. I covered 25 miles in 1.5 hours and made it to the port where I was told that I was number 1 in the queue!! I charged my phone and had a tea ice while waiting to be called. The skipper of the boat came over to tell me we would be leaving at 11.30 and to relax for an hour. I went through immigration in a flash and there was nobody at customs so I put my bike on the boat which skipper tied down expertly. We set sail at 11.50 and in no time we were going through Singapore customs and despite having to unload bags, no problem at all.

On our way to Singapore
I knew the way along the east coast cycle path and with the wind behind me I was in town within 1.5 hours including a stop off to watch wakeboarding.

Wake-boarding
I went straight to the hostel and checked in and despite my worries of them having nowhere to store my bike, the girl on reception said she could put it in their kitchen. The only downside to being in Singapore is that she is the only person I’ve spoken to, nobody has waved or said hi since I arrived. What a difference a day makes! I’ve now had two meals and only said hi to one American and one Brit the whole 8 hours I’ve been here, it seems very odd
Hostel boutique coo 144 dollars for 6 nights.
