Another great day with mixed emotions.
I had brekkie of two toast, a banana and coffee at 8 and then retired to my box bunk to watch Harry’s Heroes. 3 hours of emotional tv but I thought the sound mix was awful. I cried for Mers and it made me miss English football. It was made even more interesting as it was filmed at the Os.
Then I went for my first Thai massage for 20 years and screamed in pain as she dug her elbows into my thighs. It wasn’t as good as Pattaya but my memories are probably rose tinted.
Then I made some calls and set off for Patong Beach at 3.30. The traffic was heavy but I enjoyed the challenge. I bought water and took on the hill ahead. I made it to the top without stopping and then took on the descent into a town full of tourists having fun. I didn’t even bother with the beach as it was packed and not very appealing.

I met an English guy who advised me to see the fishing boats which I did and then watched sunset with a beer and crisps.
