What a tough day.
I got up at 5.30 to watch the sunrise over the valley, but it was mostly covered in cloud as was I.
I gave the family 100000 kip for accommodating me and watched them going about their daily business. The mother insisted that I stay for noodle soup to set me on my way which was much appreciated.

Then it was uphill for the next 1.4 miles, I’m getting used to it and am still proud to declare that I have never got off and pushed even if locals are walking fast than me!

I left today thinking I had nearly reached the summit but after another 1.4 miles I was still going up. Then I was challenged by another 2 mile climb and many more shorter ones to reach the nearest hotel.
