Day 1140 3rd September 2019
45 miles ( Tak to kamphaeng Phet ) Average speed 13.2 mph Top speed 20 mph
A good day back on the move. I had coffee and banana cake for breakfast in my room and left at 11.45.
The road along the ping river was a really good ride with lots of small villages, but many dog chases. I am sure this was the most dogs in one day but only two chases proved dangerous, with two dogs chasing me down the street, snapping at my heels and another where I was surrounded by at least ten all barking. At this point I chose to dismount and fend them off from behind the bike, while the owners shouted from their houses, but the dogs paid little attention to their cries. I fought my way through and continued to enjoy the river.

When I had to join the main road I stopped for a drink and the chef at the noodle shack opposite called me over so I really enjoyed his camp banter and his wonderful pork noodles.

When I got to Susan’s house I took some time to recover from my day’s experiences.
