Repsol garage in Puebla de Don Rodrigo – the place to find accommodation

Breakfast
Another tough day but I’m out of the mountains! Just a few hills now. More wildlife today – vultures in a field

Vultures in a field

and flying
Followed by a herd of cows – they might have been wild from the expressions on their faces

Cows by the roadside
Had my second puncture today. More of a blow out really as the garage I stayed behind had free air and water – I think I overdid the air. The front tyre blew but thankfully I was going uphill at the time.

Mending a puncture at the roadside – I worked in the ditch while my helmet warned that I had a problem – at least that was the idea.
Made it to El Viso for great hotel with full size bath from where I write this!

A proper bath!

A proper bed

Hotel
Wifi,TV and air con all for €25.
Had steak and tomatoes for dinner. I need to go there for brekkie too as I didn’t have enough money to pay the man.
Onto Córdoba tomorrow.
