Awake at 5 up at 7. Brekkie with the workers in the bar below my room. It’s amazing how they can drink at 7 am. I was wondering why there was a tube attached to the beer pump and today I discovered the punters fill up their barrels from them in the morning to bring in to work to get them through the day.

What a great day with tough climbs and big descents I’m now in a brilliant campsite next to massive lake with pool and bar with good music.

In two days I should reach Vernon but won’t be hanging around too long at first as I’m off to Marbella to see a friend. This has been one hell of a journey and hopefully I can have a rest after Wednesday which will be exactly 9 weeks since I left Waltham Abbey!!!
