What a fantastic day. Fishing next to my campsite at 8am. Rain slowed things down a little but I was on the river path at 10.30.

Notched up 800 miles today
It was a great ride with a combination of road and river. I took to the road after Redon and found a wedding at Rieux

and a footy match to boot. 3-1 to Senyac, home team were a bit jaded from the heat.

Carried on to Roche Bernard but campsite was full due to music festival. All the way back up to find the one I passed earlier. Then I had a fantastic dinner of pork, sweet potatoes and haricot beans with gravy.

Met Sonia and Thibault and the man who invited us for beers, whose name I’ve forgotten after he’d supplied me with Leffe all night, but I do remember it was his 40th. To bed at 3am.
