Day 106 2nd November
65miles (Sanlucar to Dos Hermanos) Average speed 13 mph Top speed 29 mph
I had brekkie in a baker’s of toast and strange pate with coffee.
I went to the launderette but they wanted €12 for a small bag of washing, so instead I found a printing shop and printed off passport forms. Then to a photo shop for passport photos, but they printed the wrong size! I should have been more specific. I packed and was away from Hostel Bohemia by 12.
I looked for a bike shop but they had no pumps! Then tried a Chinese shop but no good. I bought lunch from Lidl and gave a beggar outside some coins for looking after my bike while I was inside. Gave up looking for a pump and headed off to Bonanza.
No post office either so carried on to Agaidal but nothing there either. So I hit Donana natural park worried about getting a puncture on paths and uneven roads. I only saw two other cyclists, but even though trail said for mountain bikes it turned out OK.
Stopped to look at fish and birds by a river after going through pine forests and realised why I am doing this trip when the silence astonished me. I must appreciate my surroundings more often.
Then herded some sheep and set off up a big hill (first in a while) to Trebujena
Fantastic ride through the wildlife park, and I finally arrived at Dos Hermanos in the dark.
