Day 21 9/8/16
45 miles approx. Still no wifi so stats not recorded
Bono to Lorient
Another fantastic day. Brekkie of fresh pain and Camembert as usual. Great fast roads and Satnav was even correct some of the time. Stopped for lunch by a lake and visited a church in a tiny village.

Then on to Lorient.

Arrived in Lorient
Found the tourist office where another young lady showed me where Lorient FC play. So off I went for photos. There is a massive festival of Celtic culture on so I couldn’t access the stadium, but I sneaked around and got the shot of the stand I wanted.

Two young lads took a photo of me outside ticket office but I think I forgot to get one of Brian the Snail, so I may need to return. The city doesn’t really do much for me but I’ve found a campsite just outside at Larmor Plage. Washing done, dinner sorted,so just having a beer next to my tent in an abandoned playground.

I think I may set the table for dinner tonight while clothes dry in the sun. Now that I’ve made it here I’m not quite sure what to do next, but tomorrow may well see me clock up 1000m. I’ll need to decide how and when to celebrate. I may even take a break and go to the beach!
Just met my neighbour Vincent who is riding a recumbent. He left two days before me from Lille and has been down to Bordeaux so he had plenty of good advice.
Just had a walk down to the beach to watch the sunset and I think I’ve now decided that tomorrow will be a proper day off. Sun worshipping on the beach.
Things I’ve learnt: I really enjoy being self sufficient. Always eat French bread or baguette upside down (it saves the roof of your mouth from being torn to shreds) cooking your own food outdoors is very rewarding for a hungry cyclist! Mop up your plates with bread to save on washing up.
