Day 142                                                         8th December

Benahavis to Malaga<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Woke up at 5am,  but managed to get back to sleep until 8.30 when I ran a luxurious bath and FT Vernon to show him Pete’s apartment.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Brekkie one was bread and jam. Then Peter returned and I watched cricket and Jenner’s debut ton. Second brekkie of fruit and cereal, followed by an Irish brekkie at Caffrey’s Irish Bar where I met all the golfing boys talking about golf and money. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Wifi meant I could contact Chris (an old friend from Chingford) to arrange lunch at 12.30. After several beers and a long liquid lunch with lots of chat about Chris’s life and mine, 20 years to catch up on would take much longer, but hopefully we will meet again soon. Peter picked me up at 3 and I got the 4.45 express bus back to Malaga. Chris insisted on paying for lunch and Peter wouldn’t take any money for last night’s dinner! Luxury coach with wifi and comfortable seats meant I was back by 5.30. Where I met Andy and Liz before checking into Feel hostel again and checked my bags. Andy and Liz were tied up trying to park their van so I went on the pub crawl with guys I met at the hostel – Paco, Kate and Jamie, and one looney guy from Manchester and his mate from Chelmsford.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We didn’t join the pub crawl at first, just went to the same bars as them. In fact I managed to find the museum bar, as that was the one they went to after the Malabu bar. Had a great night, and as Brian the guide offered us a \u20ac5 deal to get into the clubs, we joined them as this meant free entry. Brian took me on to recce the next bars and got me a free shot while chatting all the while about his girlfriend. I danced the night away until 5am. For the first time ever I got drenched with water for making too much noise outside the hostel at 5am!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
