Day 447                                                      10th October

A good day off. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I got up at 9 and had brekkie of ham and egg sarnies with tea. I decided to stay another day despite the cost of the campsite, so did my washing and spent an hour or so cleaning my bike. Chain cleaning can be quite therapeutic and rewarding. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I left at 1.30 and headed into Milan to see the sights. The buildings were magnificent and the cathedral spectacular.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The cobbled streets were hard going though and after a couple of hours I found a Lidl to buy bangers and mash for dinner and headed back to cook. Dinner was lovely but I’m glad I didn’t put gravy on, as the Knorr stock in Europe is so salty, I was pleased I tasted it before ruining my dinner. I’ve made that mistake once before! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Then I went to a bar to charge my phone and had a couple of beers. I was in bed by 10.30 and listened to talk sport for a while before a good nights rest.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
