Red bus bagatelle. Spotted a red bus soon after setting off.<\/p>\n

I made it to the next province so I’m now in Somme.<\/p>\n

Entered the Somme; met a camel from the zoo and another couple from Antwerp. Gave them maps I’d gone off the edge of. (very rewarding ) Amazing the number of cycle tourists about. I’ve seen crazy bikes too, a recumbent tandem??? A bike pulling a wheelchair on a trolley and today a wheelchair with hand pedals on the main road out for a Sunday cruise.<\/p>\n

D940 fast but boring<\/p>\n

Got lost twice following route 4, met an English couple who tried to help but in her words “We’re just piddling about on bikes”<\/p>\n

At Crotoy got lost, then no boat, but good sea ride through marshes all round Baie de Somme to St.Valery-sur-Somme and on to Cayeux-sur-Mer<\/p>\n

Arrived in Cayeux-sur-Mer this evening after quite a few detours but I got to see lots I wouldn’t have done if I had gone by the direct route.. Croyot is very pretty as is Valerie.<\/p>\n

Bonked so resorted to McDonald’s so it must have been bad! Sunday no shops open.<\/p>\n

Cayeux first site \u20ac16 no thanks; near beach for \u20ac10, the receptionist was playing boules so had a beer and watched .<\/p>\n

Burger & chips on beach, watched sunset with a beer on terrace bar.<\/p>\n

Another great day in the saddle.<\/p>\n

After another wonderful sunset it’s time for bed said Zebedee. Goodnight all.<\/p>\n
