35 miles (Phong Nha to liem hoa )  24000 miles passed today.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Computer not working so no average speed statistics<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\n<\/span><\/span>Monsoon season has arrived, 36 hrs of constant rain so far.
\nI got up at 9 for a good breakfast of omelette with baguette and tomato and two coffees.<\/p>\n

The rain was not tempting me to get a move on so I ended up leaving at 10.30. The lovely girl on reception gave me a poncho to wear but I refuse to look like a cock in a condom and prefer to get wet. Once you\u2019re wet you\u2019re wet and wearing a yellow condom doesn\u2019t help as you just sweat instead.<\/p>\n

So I set off and was soaked through within 10 minutes.<\/p>\n

Even to celebrate cycling 24000 miles since I started out<\/p><\/div>\n

I don\u2019t know why but having reset my computer last night, although the bike was under cover it chose not to work.<\/p>\n

At first it was an enjoyable ride despite the rain and I even felt cold at times which was a welcome change.<\/p>\n
