France \u2013 they eat snails don\u2019t they?<\/p>\n

I am keeping a low profile until I spy out how the land lies.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a lot of travelling going on, and I spend lots of time in my bag, occasionally poking my head out to see what\u2019s happening. Lots of roads, lots of sea, lots of sand (yuck!)<\/p>\n

Brian says he lost a shoe, and nearly lost some electrics out of a pannier, it\u2019s a good job I have my own secure place on the handlebars.<\/p>\n

He also said he got lots of admiring looks in Merlimont \u2013 that\u2019s my famous face, of course. (Magic Roundabout is a French animation, just because Eric Thompson narrated an English version doesn\u2019t make it British) I suppose that means I am really French and should talk with a French accent \u2013 Ooh, la,la!<\/p>\n

A London Bus ? Is this a request stop?<\/p><\/div>\n

A London bus!? I should be OK here then. \u201cWe\u2019re all going on a Summer Holiday\u201d although it doesn\u2019t seem to be going anywhere now.<\/p>\n

There is a sign saying this is Baie de Somme \u2013 Grand site de France.<\/p>\n

And then we meet a camel. Has it escaped from the French Foreign Legion? No the local zoo. Well at least that means no sand – I don\u2019t fancy the Sahara at all. Brian if you\u2019re going there can you leave me behind somewhere please.<\/p>\n

Camel? here? Ah, it belongs to the zoo.<\/p><\/div>\n

Brian got lost several times today, but managed to find his way to Cayeux-sur-Mer by riding through the sea marshes, lots of ozone, not much to eat though, and McDonalds for dinner? I think not, they don\u2019t do vegetarian, never mind mollusc.<\/p>\n

The next day is better, a morning ride along the cliffs,<\/p>\n

then lunch by the river at Criel-sur-Mer.<\/p>\n

I am in there- on the bar bag. Brian keeps pushing in front of the camera<\/p><\/div>\n

A lovely big willow tree to rest under after being out in the sun.<\/p>\n

Brian did try to lend me his sunglasses, but they didn\u2019t quite fit.<\/p>\n

Sunglasses aren’t much help<\/p><\/div>\n

I didn\u2019t see any ducks, even though Brian said they were all in a line. Sometimes I think he makes it all up.<\/p>\n

A quiet night tonight after all that music playing while we were on fast roads, I couldn\u2019t get a wink of sleep until after we stopped. Then Brian went off for a swim and came back with a bottle of wine, that\u2019ll be a lie-in for me tomorrow then.<\/p>\n
