A bit of a lie in this morning after my very late night. I was up at 10.30 when my friendly Chinese roommate turned on the lights, apologised and then left them on while she threw everything loudly into her case. I know she had to check out but there should be some kind of etiquette manual issued to people sharing a hostel room for 12 others. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Got up and headed out on my bike to the port and the beach, then climbed up to the top of Gibralfaro castle\/fort alongside pedestrians who looked incredulously at me, but now I’m used to riding really slowly through human traffic in the city centre so felt comfortable weaving in and out of them.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Made it to the top and discovered that it was free entry from 2pm so I locked up the bike and had a rest before joining the queue to see the wonderful 360 degree views from the ramparts.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Also checked out the museum and kept an eye on my bike from above.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The peanut salesman also had said he’d keep a watch for me too. When I had seen the museum exhibits and taken lots of pictures of the views I rode all the way back down, stopping at the hotel with more great views on the road into town. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Back to the beach to sit at the water’s edge and enjoy the waves, where I met Annila and had a chat.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Then I went back to the port where I got to see the swing club of Malaga in full swing.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And art stalls in the market. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It was getting chilly so I went to get my fleece and then along to far end of the beach to watch the sunset with the fishermen and to Raul’s apartment to see my old haunts. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Back at the hostel I was about to get my stuff from the fridge for my dinner when Cardiz from Palestine, but living in Norway now, offered me the pasta and sauce he had left over and I gratefully accepted. It was delicious. Had a couple of beers and an early night.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
