Day 143                                                        9th December

Malaga<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Woke up at 10 and had brekkie and packed quickly to check out of the hostel. Checked with Greg at Recyclo but new parts still not in. This 3 day week is making it almost impossible to get anything done here. Walked to trek shop but no shoes for me. Then got the 21 bus to cyclohobby and arrived at 1.55 just in time for them to close for siesta, but at least they had the right kind of shoes. Went for a walk and found a locked park for a sleep on a bench. One more thing I would never have dreamed of doing before this trip! Found a pair of headphones that work and think I will try to adapt them to fit in my helmet. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Onto Aldi to buy dinner, then a bar for a swift tubo (size of glass). Back to the shop and tried on several pairs of shoes with a very patient salesman and eventually got a nice light blue suede pair for \u20ac53. Back to Recyclo to discover that parts have finally arrived and I will have my bike back tomorrow. It’s been 8 days off the bike and I’m really missing it. It will be so good to get back on the road tomorrow and I’m really looking forward to cycling to Marbella. Had pizza and salad for dinner and a siesta from 8 until 10.30pm. Went for a walk around a busy Malaga and a couple of beers. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
