 <\/span><\/span>A great way to spend my  birthday riding into wind and rain! Although I really enjoyed achieving my goal. It was tough at times but very enjoyable too. I stopped at a frites wagon for lunch and the girl was great to chat to and I was so glad of some hot food instead of a sarnie on the roadside.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It was good to get out of the wind and make use of her gas heater. There were some good cycle paths but often they take you a long way round so sometimes I opted for the road to reach my goal.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Well I made it. I’m in Groningen. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

53 miles into the wind and rain. There is no better way to celebrate.  Amer, my new friend from Iran, has just bought me a birthday beer in the youth hostel I’m staying in tonight.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

My goodness, when did watching Man U become so boring! Jose is not doing it for me!! I can’t believe I’m bored with watching footy on tv; It’s much better live. Liege was good last week.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
