Day 294                                                  9th May

60miles (Weener to Oldenburg) Average speed 12 mph Top speed  19mph<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I was up very late at 9.45 and had sausage sarnies for breakfast with tea. I left at midday and soon found myself lost at a lake. Beautiful as it was the path around it proved tough work. Then I found the canal I’d been looking for, but it didn’t go far, so I ended up in a main road for many miles. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

At least it was flat and easy going if a little boring. I had my radio for company so it wasn’t too bad. I had to head south to get there as there was no way through a nature park<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Camping next to swimming pool and footy pitch but no-one on reception when I arrived at 6.30 even though sign said open until 7.30. So I set up anyway,<\/p>\n
