Day 528                                                      30th December

67 miles (Sabauma to Salvador) Average speed 12.1 mph Top speed 38 mph<\/p>\n

We were up early and I made tea on the fire but there were flies and mosquitoes attacking us the whole time. I was pleased to get away from there and hungry. With a service station 7 miles away I really went for it and left Frankie behind, but I was on a mission to get food and a shower.<\/p>\n

Frankie caught up with me and we spotted a barbecue on a roundabout in the middle of the road, so we stopped for a rest in the shade and some lunch.<\/p>\n

After a long hot ride we met the traffic queues entering Salvador and were very glad to not be in a car<\/p>\n
