I was awake at 7 and jumped into the sea to freshen up. I made some tea and packed up slowly in the heat.<\/p>\n

Wild camp by the sea<\/p><\/div>\n

It was a bit of a task to get the bike back up through the sand, but I did so before putting on shoes or shirt so was not drenched. I set off in search of food, but didn\u2019t see much I fancied and before long I was at the tunnel, having avoided the hills I climbed over last night, and there was a good path all the way through.<\/p>\n

I found a cafe with a friendly waitress who gave me two coffees and sarnies. Then I went to the port to buy a ticket, only to find no bikes were allowed on the crossing. With no phone battery I continued, not knowing how far I had to go, but stopped at a garage just before I got to the bridge and charged my phone to discover the port only .3 of a mile back from where I was.<\/p>\n
