The receptionist allocated me one sarnie with not much hope of another. I had a quiet morning and did some washing.<\/p>\n<p>Then I ventured out to Decathlon before the rain came. The prices here in Brazil are comparatively much higher than the U.K.&nbsp; I bought a pair of shorts for 100 raeis and tried to beat the rain on the way back to the hostel.<\/p>\n<p>While waiting on the cycle path at a set of traffic lights, a pick up truck flew around the bend to beat the lights and a large metal trolley flew off the back. I took evasive action by ducking and moving the bike away from the flying missile. &nbsp;The nearest I\u2019ve come to danger on this trip so far and I wasn\u2019t even moving! Just goes to show you always need to be on your guard!!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_31257\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-31257\" class=\"wp-image-31257 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/snailpacecycling.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2957-29-3-18-Sack-barrow-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/snailpacecycling.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2957-29-3-18-Sack-barrow-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/snailpacecycling.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2957-29-3-18-Sack-barrow.jpg 816w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-31257\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Innocuous looking trolley, but minutes before it came flying off the back of a truck and missed me by a hair&#8217;s breadth when I ducked.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The other traffic waiting in line were looking on as I dusted myself down and a worker collected the trolley.<\/p>\n<p>I made it back to the hostel before the deluge and then went for a second close shave from a barber.
