Day 618                                                       30th March 2018
\nSantana<\/p>\n

A frustrating day off the bike.
\nI got up at 9 for the same brekkie. I rested and listened to the Os win 3-1.<\/p>\n

I was due to meet Mayta at a critical mass cycling event, but it rained and she couldn\u2019t make it, so I arranged to meet her later and went for dinner with Jonathon from Greenwich who was staying at the hostel. We had a good chat about travelling and then I went off to meet Mayta, but with no WiFi and no bars around the station I missed her and returned to Santana via a rather dodgy walk through Republica. It was very dark and there were lots of homeless people about. I felt a bit threatened walking through and hid my ring and tried not too look like too much of a tourist.<\/p>\n

Once back at my bar in Santana she messaged me to say they were at Paulista, but it was 11 by now and tubes stop at twelve so I went to bed.<\/p>\n
