55 miles (Posadas to Apostoles) Average speed 9.4 mph Top speed 30 mph<\/span><\/p>\n

A really tough day back in the saddle. Headwinds all the way and it\u2019s getting cold now. Lots of hills to climb and hard work all the way. Today\u2019s nature watch included a tarantula on the white line at the side of the road which I photographed<\/p>\n

but tried not to get too close until a truck blew it towards me, at which point I made a hasty retreat and a large stick insect which I just managed to avoid.<\/p>\n

There were also lots of birds and my favourite birdsong sounds like peek-a-boo.<\/p>\n
