Day 945                                          20th February 2019 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

5 miles (Muar) Average speed 10.3 mph Top speed 17 mph<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A day of rest.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I got up at 8 and after two teas and a long chat with Susan and Simon I walked to the shop to buy bread and sardines for brekkie. Then I did my washing and went fishing at the river. Unfortunately I didn\u2019t catch anything but got to see some lovely birds and another big lizard, all of six feet long eating dead fish from the bank. He was having more luck than I. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Then on the way back to hostel it started to rain but I avoided the worst under a bridge. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Back at the hostel some guys were making a promotional video for the hostel and I needed to be an extra for a free beer. I got talking to the guys after and felt ancient talking about the old days of tape. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Then we had a delicious steamboat dinner where you have a fast cooking dish in middle of the table and add whichever ingredients you fancy, we had 3 different mushrooms, many types of noodle, seafood, tofu, pork, veg and too many more to remember. Once added to the boiling soup it\u2019s ready in no time.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It was fantastic to meet Lily\u2019s friends and we had a good evening to send Susan off!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
