A fantastic day of sport.<\/p>\n

Sunday fun in Bangkok.<\/p>\n

While on my way to the park I noticed a tv studio and went in for a look around. The smell of deep heat seemed strange, then I found myself being ushered into a studio. The Muay Thai was already underway and as I squeezed my way through the raging crowd, the noise was incredible. 6 fights all filmed for live tv and totally free. I stood less than two metres from the ring and enjoyed the spectacle first hand.<\/p>\n

After a trip to the park and a ride around the impressive cycle track I headed to the football ground where I met six or seven English guys, who are regular fans at Army United.<\/p>\n

A couple of beers and a few sausages later, I took my seat in the VIP seats for 100 baht but the atmosphere was not good and I needed to be on the other side with the ultras! A steward refused to let me walk round so I waited til half time by which time the home team were one down. A beer and chat with my new friends meant we missed the equaliser, so we went back to see an entertaining second half.<\/p>\n

The Army came out 2-1 winners via a blatant penalty and moved to the top of Thai league 2. A great day out with fantastic atmosphere at both locations.<\/p>\n
