A good but hot day back on the move.
\nI got up late at 9 for another good free breakfast. I showered, packed and left at 11.15 after carrying my bike over the roadworks outside the hotel. I checked my front wheel damage after bike fell over in the wind yesterday and the rim is damaged so first stop was a hardware store for some coarse sandpaper which cost 2000 dong.<\/p>\n

Then I went along a river quite a way before joining the L4 road which also followed a river and took me through beautiful countryside.<\/p>\n

I rested at a pagoda with energy drink and then had two sugar cane drinks with some very giggly girls. The number 4 went a long way and then I turned left to get to the h1.<\/p>\n

I needed food,  but a lot of the restaurants seem closed or have nobody in them. The first shop I went to a whole family were sleeping on the floor until they were startled by my footsteps. Once at the main road every shop was selling ban loc which I discovered to be a prawn wrapped in a kind of gelatinous goo inside a banana leaf. I had 10 and despite the prawns not being shelled they were tasty.<\/p>\n
