I was up early to see the sunrise and clean the bungalow. I’m not sure how he manages to get the smell of bonfires out of the place, but maybe other people use better wood. Then I left at about 10.30 to go to his new apartment. He only paid €20,000 and it’s a pretty good size for a 1 bed. The ride was a bit tough as I could hear a lot of noise coming from the front wheel, and I decided to take the longer route on the main road. I stopped to see if I could fix it and took off the front wheel but not any better. It was a tough climb up to the town but worth it see Lake Venuela in all its glory.

Then as I couldn’t find a bike shop or a photography shop, I bought lunch in Coviran and went to the apartment to see if I could fix the bike. A bit of tweaking and some oil and it was sounding a bit better. So after a baguette of cheese and chorizo I set about my Ikea building. For once it was quite rewarding to actually get everything in the right place and not have any screws left over.

I stayed here in Raul’s apartment overnight, ready for an early start tomorrow.
