Brian thought I was fed up with him and the hot bike bag : not quite!
Well you know how much I like boats, and rivers,. Once again we were by a river, watching a ferry, and then some old man feeding the ducks… I suppose that at least meant they were not interested in me.
(Ermintrude : ducks are used to clear a vineyard of slugs, snails and other pests in South Africa ; see here
Brian : Oi, who are you calling a pest?)
But I wasn’t taking any chances so I leapt off the bike, and headed for the nearest cover, didn’t quite make it before I was caught on camera and then returned to the bag. I hid there until the ducks were well out of the way.
I may spend a lot of time in there as there seems to be water everywhere we go.
Minden with a bridge over a river, and a slipway for boats where Brian nearly got run down by a boat that was launching from the slipway.
Pornic with another bridge, quite pretty, but I am getting more and more frightened of falling in the water, especially as here Brian was feeding the fish and they were just waiting for me to fall in.
I don’t mind watching so much, and looking at pretty scenery, but I really don’t want to go swimming, or feeding the fishes or the ducks, however many times people say “Bon Appetit!” they don’t mean me!
At Les Moutiers Brian left me behind in the tent while he went to watch the sunset over the beach – the only thing worse than water is water and sand!
