Day 9 28/7/16
45 miles approx.
Petiville to Toutenville
(Ermintrude: Still no wifi, so information is a little thin)
Excellent day going up one side of the Seine and back down the other. Met Swiss cycling nuts with their own support team and bus. Borrowed their pump and then crossed the Pont de Brotonne.
It was just like the Humber bridge but without the cycle lane. In fact it was down to only two lanes which made life a bit hairy with the side winds. Went right to St Nicholas and had a lovely ride down to Toutenville.

Toutenville
Lovely campsite with chalets and a neighbouring lake with water sports.
Expensive at €18.50 but with a pool and bar, then in the morning I discovered free wifi and a tumble dryer! Oh how my life is changing, the things that excite me these days amaze me!

Plat du Jour, Toutenville
Splashed out tonight, put on a shirt and went out for plat de jour. mushroom to start, steak & frites and a massive cheeseboard. I washed it all down with a Calvados, thanks for the tip mum.

Calvados – Cheers!
(Ermintrude : You’re welcome!)
