Day 94 21st October
15 miles (around Torreguardiaro) average speed 8.9 Top speed 25mph
Mandy left at 9 for spin class which didn’t really appeal to me, and she left me with keys so I could come and go as I pleased. A very trusting host. I rode into the village nearby and tried to get my bike looked at by a garage and a bike shop – but when, after a coffee and bap, I went back, they were too busy to look at the clicking on the bike, so I went to Sotogrande and looked at big houses and boats in marina.

Sotogrande – house

Sotogrande – boat

Sotogrande – beach
A playboys paradise. Chose not to sit with them for a drink in my camping t-shirt but helped an English woman with her broken number plate by using my screwdriver. She was very happy for the help as she was looking after 3 month old Beatrice.

How the other half live!
I crossed the river and headed back to Torreguardiaro for lunch with very drunk locals drinking Pacharan at 3pm! Back to the house and tried to fix my bike in the garden. Mandy arrived with a new wheel for her silver machine and we tinkered with and chatted bikes for a while. Then down to the Dubliner for a couple of pints and to meet Butch the painter. Back at the house Mandy cooked chicken fajitas and we chatted til 3.30 am!
