Day 232 8th March
43miles (Moulay Idriss to Sidi Slimane) Average speed 10.6 mph Top speed 36 mph
I was up at 8 and had brekkie at 9 of bread, cheese and very good jam, with a large coffee and fresh oj.
I checked my emails and booked a hotel for London. I left at 11.30 and went to collect the bike. I carried it out of the shop and next door was a barbers, so I went for a number 1 cut for 20 dirham. The hairdresser then got a boy to take me to a shop to get sunglasses for 25 dirham including a cleaner.

Shorn! – Number 1 haircut and new sunglasses
On my way out of town I stopped for bread, a bottle of apple juice and a cream slice.

Moulay Idriss mosque

Moulay Idriss’ holy status kept it closed to non-Muslims until 1912 and it wasn’t until 2005 that non-Muslims were allowed to stay overnight in the town.
Then as I headed off I was happy not to be climbing the other side of the valley!

On the road to Sidi Slimane

Sidi Slimane – evening market
Hotel Splendid 70 dirham, but it’s far from it. But it does have a bar so not all bad!
Just witnessed one of the greatest ever comebacks from Barca against PSG 6-5 !
