53miles ( St Andre’s Roche to Guenrouet) Average speed 10.9 mph Top speed 26.5 mph
The day started well with going into town for fresh pain. Said goodbye to Flora. She was probably a bit peed off from all the smoke from me trying to get the stove going. I’ve decided that mornings I will try with fire lighters as everything is damp with dew.
She was aiming for Blain and I thought I could match that, but the poor quality of the paths meant I took to the roads and found that much better, if a bit hilly.
At the end of the day everything was covered in dust and I’d had to stop to oil chain. Made it to the village and stocked up on food and had a beer (it always seems the best way to end the day!)
Campsite was only €7.50 even though it’s 3 *.

Camping Saint Clair
Went down to the river and saw another kingfisher, this time actually catching fish.
I was about to cook dinner when a man in a van turned up offering paella for €8. It smells fantastic, so I’ve put my chicken in the freezer for tomorrow.
Band playing at site in front of fire are not great, but the crowd enjoyed it.
I had my map of France out on the ping pong table, but when I came back from the toilet it was gone and not a breath of wind??? Damn thieves.
