Slow start, much tea needed!
Day got off to a flyer. D277 was a straight flat road with good Tarmac. I was bombing along at average of 15 mph for a while. Got to Minden and while taking photo of bridge on a boat slipway nearly got run over by someone trying to launch a boat.

Found path and carried along mainly on the coast. It’s good to be back by the sea. Although it’s a lot more pricey down here. Stopped for lunch at Pornic lovely views of chateau and sea port and beaches.

Watched the fish in the river for a while before going to find somewhere to eat lunch.

It’s a lot more expensive down on the coast and I’ll have to watch my budget! Popped into La Bernerie-en-Retz and on to Les Moutiers, found campsite with pool and a Peter Stilton goal kick got me into the sea.

Swim in pool followed by dinner of smoked mackerel and salad while watching sun go down at a picnic table.
A nightcap of whisky to celebrate a month on the road!
