Day 319 3rd June
Kalmar
After 12 days relaxing at Stephan Garber’s summer house in Oland I’m back on the road and heading for Stockholm. Today I took in some footy with Kalmar FF losing 0-1 to Orebro. The Swedish first division is not quite up to the premier league but at least there wasn’t too much diving or play acting. It was great to stand behind the goal in the home end and enjoy the singing and try to understand some of the banter. It brought me back to the good old days of standing on the north terrace at the O’s. At least I could get a beer too.

Standing on the terraces
I’m loving Sweden if not the prices. Now I’m off to try out a Scottish pub and see if they’re showing the champs league final, otherwise I’ll be back in O’Learys for the game.
Staying in a great hotel with six beds to myself! Don’t believe booking dot com when they say they are nearly sold out! Brand new beds, a good shower and wifi, everything you need after wild camping by a lake. The view and wildlife is not as good but at least I’m out of the rain.

Six beds – all mine!
