I made tea in my room with the gas bottle left there and then climbed through the window to get out as I couldn’t open the door with the broken handle. Kamal arrived and we went to his new house for brekkie with Zaleb and his wife, of harsha bread with olives and oil. The plumber and electrician arrived and some negotiations took place about the price with lots of rubbing together of hands and scratching of chins. After a while they got down to work. I tried to not get in the way too much and help out where I could.

Trying not to get in the way of the builders who are preparing the new pharmacy
I had lunch with Aziz who was also rebuilding his house and I observed the work of his brickies and shared a couscous with them. One of them looks like a Moroccan Ian Rush.
